WOW!!! Barch's comments are pretty powerful, and well written! Barch could definately earn a living writing.
I think it is disgusting that NHL Stars go to play in Europe during the Lockout. How can they support the rest of the PA, who are sitting home, not collecting a paycheck, waiting, supporting those who are supposed to be fighting for them behind closed doors to get a deal done* when they are over in Europe collecting a minimal paycheck to play hockey?
The most disgusting thing about it is the European equivalent of Barch, who is now on the street, because a locked out, multi-millionaire NHL player took his roster spot. Those NHL players say they just want to play hockey. They could do what some other NHL'ers are doing, playing pickup games and donating the $$ to charity.
*The NHL players should be strongly encouraging the PA to put forth more of an effort in the negotiating proccess. (Fehr met with Bettman for 30 minutes yesterday?????? 30 minutes?? Hey, guys are on the street!!!!! It's time to act on your words, they are not doing "all they can" by spending 30 minutes a day negotiating!! Get back in there and work on it till it's done!!!!)

I agree.
The CBA is for the one quarter of the players (and agents) who are the top paid. Screw the rest of the players.

On a totally different subject, I heard a rumor that Yakupov will not come back to play in the NHL this year if the lockout goes past October. Interesting.....

Oddly enough, you could replace players with teams and the same applies. Would it be easier if it was just the 50 players and 5 teams that matter in the room?

There are thousands of people throughout North America who have permanently lost 5 figure jobs for no other reason than the greed of a few millionaires and billionaires.

I can't feel too bad about a few hundred hockey players who have temporarily lost 6 and 7 figure jobs for the same reason.

Barch will likely have a lucrative career to return to and when it ends can use his status as an ex-NHLer to earn a living as a broadcaster, coach or selling insurance or real estate in his hometown.

I agree. The CBA is for the benefit of the top 5 earning teams. Screw the rest of the teams.

Big game, the Bills at 3-1 and Pats at 1-3 would be huge. Especially with Revis out for the Jets now.

I'd bet my ball sack that the Pat's cover 4 today.

This could be an ugly one. Pat's are pissed and will play to show the world that they are NOT as bad as their record. Unfortunately the Bills are not as good as their record either..

31 - 17 Pat's. I hope I'm wrong. I usually am.

I laughed about the wild west comment, if this was the wild west he would be getting paid about the same as the dude cleaning out the owners stable out back.

Wonder why he doesn't ask all his PA buddies why he isn't playing for $675k per year instead of $750 per year. Not sure he has looked at the math on that one. They miss 8 games this year and he's at his pay for what the owners want percentage wise.

The Bills are a joke they make me sick, someone should remind the 100 million dollar man that the Texans are 4-0.

As a ticket-buying fan and the parent of a kid who wakes up at 5am for practices, drives all over hell's half-acre to games, sells everything from candy bars to raffle tickets and pays enormous sums of money to keep my kid protected with cheap china-made, high- dollar, player-endorsed equipment; I've about had it with this pissing contest over 3 billion dollars.

Solution: take $1B and reduce ticket costs to ST holders, and take the other $2B and put it to youth hockey programs across the US & Canada so we can hopefully have a group of prospects who will remember where they came from when those big contracts come along and simultaneously screw the owners who always insist on upping the cost of parking, beer and merchandise.

Oh...and more thing:
